The Best Screenplay Prize was awarded to Lou Ye for Spring Fever.

 

The Best Screenplay was bestowed by Anna Mouglalis on Lou Ye, who had the following words to say, "I would like my film cast and crew to join me on stage and to especially thank my screenplay writer, Mei Feng. I hope this will help facilitate Chinese filmmakers to find independent channels to work faster."

 

At the Laureates' Press Conference, Lou Ye added: "First of all, I'm delighted for my whole crew, and for all of the people I worked with. I hope that all the young filmmakers will be free to make their films, and that they'll be independent enough to be able to make them."
