Morocco, South Africa, Mexico, Austria, Peru, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines: seven countries, seven rich and unique cinematographic experiences, are to present a varied showcase of their creative work in a new programme: All the Cinemas of the World from May 14th to 20th.
Inaugurated by the Festival de Cannes in 2005, the ambition of All the Cinemas of the World is to illustrate the vitality and diversity of cinema throughout the world, the dynamism of its young creative talent and the involvement of its institutions in promoting cinéma d'auteur.
Each day, one country will programme the feature, short and documentary films which are most representative of the creativity from its recent production. Meetings between filmmakers and professionals and events celebrating the different cultures will also be organised so that, from country to country, and from film to film, our gaze is drawn to the riches and deep wells of cinematographic inspiration that are required for the development, and especially renewal, of our universal art.
The All the Cinemas of the World programme, with the partnership of Région Paca, will take place in the new Cinéma du monde theatre which has been designed by Patrick Bouchain in the Village International-Pantiero.
