Synopsis
" A World Apart " is based on a true story and takes place in South Africa in 1963. It focuses on the relationship between a white woman, politically committed to the fight against apartheid, and her 13 year old daughter.Set against a backdrop of increasingly violent repression, it chronicles the effects of the break-up of the family and is, above all, about the child's attempts to come to terms with the political choices her parents have made.
