The French filmmaker Bruno Dumont, and some of the cast of Ma Loute (Slack Bay), including Juliette Binoche, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi and Fabrice Luchini, talked to the world's press on Friday morning, to explain the film. It is a love story, set against the backdrop of a police investigation, between Ma Loute Brufort, son of one of the fishermen suspected of cannibalism, and Billie Van Peteghem, an androgynous bourgeois woman from a decadent family.
