Meeting the team of Toni Erdmann by Maren Ade

Selected for the first time at Cannes with Toni Erdmann, German filmmaker Maren Ade appeared before the press this morning to talk about her film, accompanied by her two leading actors Sandra Hüller and Peter Simonischek. The feature-length film gives a humorous depiction of the surprising yet disturbing reunion between Ines, a consultant in the oil industry working in Bucharest, and her father, a mischievous practical joker, who she finds both a burden and a source of shame.
