Synopsis

Between walks in Central Park, last minute shopping and visiting the Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Centre, a family prepares to celebrate Christmas. She is of Porto Rican origin and he¿s Dominican. They came as immigrants in search of the American dream and in order to attain it, only one solution is at hand : drug-trafficking. They "cut" their heroin with a chemist¿s precision, manage their business with the skill of executives and work 7 days a week, twenty-four hours a day. During one of their "business meetings" the husband is kidnapped. She is approached by a black, racist gangster who demands a ransom. Having learnt when to resist and when to give in she turns to her colleagues, her employees and her husband¿s debtors. But it¿s Christmas and people are out of town. The determined gangster wont let his victim go and raises the ransom. But the relationship that develops between them is far from is far from normal.
