KING OF THE HILL
Synopsis
Saint Louis, 1933. In his dreams, 12-year old Aaron Kurlander is advisor to Charles Lindbergh as he charts his way across the skies. But in reality, the inventive Aaron is grounded at the Empire Hotel where the residents are toughing out hard times. In Aaron's real world, his hopeless father pedless wickless candles door-to-door while awaiting word about a job, and his trusted mother suffers silently as sickness, like unpaid bills, begin to mount. When the family begins to break apart, Aaron's grand designs meet up with reality. He turns the power of his imagination to his own survival. Alone in the hotel, under constrant threat of evisiton , Aaron embarks on the greatest adventure of all: growing up.
