Synopsis

Alan, a 30 year-old married father, suddenly starts dreaming of a change in his life. A selfish, naïve desire, although vital, drives him to abruptly resign from his job as a video game tester. But make a change for what? He persists without really knowing. Following the advice of an Unemployment Agency worker he signs up for a four-month training course to become a heavy vehicle operator on construction-sites. In the heart of the Corrèze region he finds himself at the training centre, sharing in the lives of the other trainees, who come from different walks of life. After several weeks - and quick weekends spent with his family in Paris - his desire for change seems to fade. Only his encounter with Manu (a trainee fascinated by machines) permits him to begin a real change.
