Synopsis
Du Jia-zhen is an ophthamologist/eye doctor, deeply in love with a married man but unable to remove herself from the abyss. One day, the man disappears. She searches high and low for him and soon finds herself in a crisis. Her heavy workload can no longer numb her feelings and the temporary pleasures of the past are no longer there to provide illusions of happiness. Desperate, she puts a marriage ad in the personals. The response is overwhelming but the prospects are not promising.
