At 9:30 pm, the Cinema on the Beach programme features Dawn of the Dead, a horror film presented out of competition. Directed by Zack Snyder, this remake originally brought to the screen by George A. Romero was a sensation at the midnight screening in the Palais last night. "During the shoot, explained the director, there was an overriding excitement, the desire to offer this story to a new generation with as much impact that we experienced with the original."
