Biography

Clotilde Hesme studied acting at the Cours Florent and the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique in Paris. She began working on stage in 1999 with François Orsoni’s company and would remain a member there for more than ten years. She was spotted by the director Jérôme Bonnell, who cast her in Le Chignon d’Olga in 2002. Philippe Garrel then offered her a role in Regular Lovers (2005). In 2007, she made four films in a row, including Love Songs directed by Christophe Honoré, which was in Competition at the Festival de Cannes. She has since worked on films by Bertrand Bonello, the Larrieu brothers, Raoul Ruiz, Catherine Corsini, Diane Kurys or Stéphane Brizé… In 2012, she won the César award for Most Promising Actress for Angel and Tony, directed by Alix Delaporte. In the same year, she played the role of Adèle in the hit series The Returned, created by Fabrice Gobert.
