Biography

Tahar Rahim began his acting career in 2005. He was soon spotted by Jacques Audiard, for whom he played the lead role in "A Prophet", which garnered the Grand Prix at the 2009 Festival de Cannes. For his performance, he also won the César for both Best Male Hope and Best Actor. He returned to Cannes in 2012 with his role in Joachim Lafosse’s "A perdre la raison", and again in 2013 in two films in Official Selection: "Le Passé" by Asghar Farhadi and "Grand Central" by Rebecca Zlotowski.
