To mark its 70th anniversary, the Festival de Cannes has created the 'Photographers' Prize".

With this new initiative, the Festival is seeking to showcase the daily work of the press photographers whose contribution to the legend of Cannes is unquestioned. Each day, a Jury will select the three most striking images.
The three daily photographs will be displayed on the Festival website and exhibited on the Journalists' Terrace on level 4 of the Palais des Festivals.

THE JURY

Pierre Lescure – President of the Festival de Cannes
Florence Leroy – Journalist with Sud Radio
Guillemette Odicino – Journalist with Télérama
Laurent Weil – Journalist with Canal +

May 28, the Jury has deliberated and reached a verdict. The winner for THE ULTIMATE PHOTO for the first edition of this year’s competition is Alan Schoenauer.

“Alan Schoenauer began covering the Festival de Cannes in 1980 as a photographer where he had his first photo chosen by the Official Selection for Bob Fosse’s film, All that Jazz. With his agency, Aloha Pictures, he primarily devotes himself to photos of celebrities and travel shots. Alan Schoenauer already has to his credit thirty photo exhibitions in France, notably in the FNAC stores and cinemas."
