    Synopsis

    Avec l'appui du Comte de Northumberland, Lord Bolingoroke est élu Roi d'Angleterre et prend le titre de Henri IV. Mais rapidement des rumeurs se propagent impliquant sa participation dans la mort de Richard II, ce qui divise le pays. Les rebelles ont à leur tête Hotspur, fils de Northumberland, tandis que le Prince de Galles, lui, passe sa vie dans les tavernes mal famées, accompagné de son inséparable Falstaff, voleur de grand chemin, ami du bon vin et de la bonne chère.
    Les rebelles se font battre à Shrewsburry et Hotspur est tué par le Prince de Galles. Mais Falstaff s'attribue cette mort et le Roi est déçu par le comportement de son fils qui continue à fréquenter les bas-fonds de Londres.
    La bataille finale contre Northumberland est favorable aux troupes royales. Mais le Roi meurt. L
