    Synopsis

    Monogham avertit son subordonné, le policier Mc Leod, que sa femme Mary a subi des manoeuvres abortives d'un certain Schneider qu'il poursuit par ailleurs avec sévérité. Mc Leod pardonne d'abord à sa femme, puis provoque une scène violente qui provoque le départ de Mary. Ensuite, il ne songe qu'à s'exposer à la mort. Et avant de mourir, il désavoue son attitude implacable, conséquence d'une enfance malheureuse.
