    Synopsis

    Based on the Herman Wouk's Pulitzer Prize novel, featuring Robert Francis, Van Johnson, and Fred MacMurray as shipmates during WWII, aboard a destroyer-cum-minesweeper. Humphrey Bogart, in one of his greatest performances, boards the ship as her new captain and immediately establishes both his power over the men and his neurosis.
