For the eighth consecutive year, the Festival de Cannes, the INCAA and the Marché du Film are hosting La Semana de Cine del Festival de Cannes / Festival de Cannes Film Week in Buenos Aires. The event will run from Monday 28 November to Sunday 4 December 2016 as part of Ventana Sur, the leading Latin American film market, also organised by the Festival de Cannes, the INCAA and the Marché du Film.
Six of the most memorable feature films from the 2016 Official Selection in Cannes will be screened in Argentina: CAPTAIN FANTASTIC by Matt Ross (Directing Prize of Un Certain Regard), TONI ERDMANN by Maren Ade, ELLE by Paul Verhoeven, TRAIN TO BUSAN by Yeon Sang- Ho, JUSTE LA FIN DU MONDE de Xavier Dolan (Grand Prix) and the Palme d’or: I, DANIEL BLAKE by Ken Loach.
The Film Week will be hosted by Thierry Frémaux, General Delegate of the Festival de Cannes. Isabelle Huppert and Viggo Mortensen, guests of honour at the event, will be there to present their film and share their experiences and opinions with the public.
The screenings of the Festival de Cannes Film Week, will be held in Buenos Aires's Cine Gaumont (seats 600).

We'd also like to take this opportunity to mention the highly successful seventh Films de Cannes in Bucarest, which took place in Romania from 14 to 23 October 2016. The event was first launched in 2010 by Cristian Mungiu with the support of the Festival of Cannes.
