Tom McGrath, Conrad Vernon and Eric Darnell presented their Out of Competition film, Madagascar 3, Europe's Most Wanted. Accompanied by the film team, they answered journalists' questions.
Chris Rock and his fondness for children's films: "I love children's films. In these films there are jokes for adults that young people don't understand. There are even films where my kids get bored but I don't want to leave because I want to know how it ends."
Ben Stiller on the continuity of the project:
"I've loved these films for a long time. The first film was tough, we didn't know the project and we didn't know how it was going to work out. When we finally saw the result, we were amazed and we embarked on the second film. In the end it turned into an on-going process. Each time, we have more and more fun!"
Jessica Chastain and her arrival in the team:
"I loved the first two films. I auditioned for this role and when I was called back I was delighted. I started in theatre, I like to change genre. That's what I did with Madagascar 3."
Tom McGrath on the circus in Madagascar 3:
"People say that the Cirque du Soleil reinvented the circus, that they did that even though they removed the animals. We wanted to do the opposite and create a circus without humans. But we wanted to create something surreal, abstract, imaginative. In fact, we tried to recreate a version of the Cirque du Soleil but adapted to our own world."
