Bertrand, a filmmaker approaching forty, slightly disconnected from the world, finds himself shut in a coffin for the night following a certain et of circumstances. The following morning he is no longer the same.
He rethinks his life, and decides to follow a man to an isolated part of the world, The Kingdom, which is ruled by a mysterious and charismatic woman called Uma. There, people of all ages reside in a warrior-type hierarchy and seem to be living in a happy autarchy.
Uma offers to host Bertrand for a fortnight, during which he will "work" for pleasure according to her rules. Waiting for pleasure is war, she tells him...
Bertrand accepts and becomes part of The Kingdom. Little by little, he gives himself up to this closed world...
