Tomek watches his neighbor, Magda, with the aid of a telescope. He manages to overcome his shyness and finally meet her. It is a fiasco. He attempts suicide. Magda then comes to him. “The true subject of this film is loneliness. There is a lot of windows between the characters. Everyone suffers in his corner, then still suffering to really meet the other. Before being face to face, there is a price to pay: the broken glass.”
