THE POWER OF KANGWON PROVINCE
Synopsis
On the rebound from a love affair with her married university instructor, Jisook joins two girlfriends for a trip to Kangwondo. Although Jisook is the only woman he's ever loved, Sangkwon seems to have moved on and is now searching for a tenured position. His trip to Kangwondo coincides with Jisook's. Up in the mountains both have a brush with the same tragedy, have drunken spats with friends and indulge in joyless flirtations. Ultimately, both leave Kangwondo lonelier than ever. Will the ephemeral ties which bind the two lovers ever gain substance in the smog of Seoul?
