Synopsis
Luciano, a young Italian literature teacher living in the provinces, supplements his income by ghost writing for a famous, but dried up, novelist. One day Minister Botero summons him to Rome to write his speeches and communiqués. Luciano accepts. His initial delight in privileges granted to members of the Minister's entourage soon turns into disillusionment; following a particularly violent government crisis, he sees the true character of Botero...
