Biography

Diego Luna includes film, television and stage in his repertoire. He was introduced to worldwide audiences with his starring role in Y Tu Mamá También. Since then, he has lent his talent to over 30 films and is a principle cast member in the upcoming Star Wars: Rogue One film. Diego’s first narrative feature film Abel premiered at the 63rd Festival de Cannes. His first English language directorial feature film, César Chávez, was released in 2014 and he most recently directed Mr. Pig, starring Danny Glover and Maya Rudolph, both films produced by Canana - the production company founded in 2005 with Gael García Bernal and Pablo Cruz. Along with Elena Fortes, they also co-founded Ambulante, a non-profit that organizes travelling documentary film festivals to promote cultural exchange. Diego Luna continues to actively direct for Gloria, his co-owned branded content company based in Los Angeles.
