The Selection La Cinef : Program 3
For its 25th edition, La Cinef has selected 13 live-action and 3 animated shorts directed by 6 male directors and 10 women directors, from among the 1,528 submitted by film schools all over the world. Four of them are from schools taking part for the first time and these 16 shorts reflect the diversity of filmmaking education in the world.

Southern Slovakia, hot summer days, a family of three generations meets under one roof. An unexpected visit from Zoja, the granddaughter, stirs up the peaceful routine. Within a quiet presence of God and alcohol, the family untails it’s tragicomical past and a few (almost) unsaid secrets.

MumLife explores the emotional hardships that can come with early motherhood through five original indie/pop musical numbers. Sarah is a first-time new mum navigating her inner anxieties about her parenting through what seems like an average day of parent's groups and best friend hangs.

Nauha (to grieve) is the coming of age of a 22-year-old boy (Kishan) through his experience of taking care of a 75-year-old dying man (Babuji).
LA CINEF: young filmmakers at Cannes 2022
The 3 La Cinef Prizes will be handed at a ceremony preceding the screening of the awarded films on Thursday 26 May, in the Buñuel Theatre.
