A posthumous documentary film by Fernando Ezequiel Solanas, Tres en la deriva del acto creativo (Three in the Drift of the Creative Act) represents a three-part effort between the Argentinian director and two friends and artistic compatriots. More than just a simple documentary, this feature film screened in Cannes Classics is a shared discussion on the art of creating art. A tribute presented by Victoria and Juan Solanas and Gaspar Noé.

The meeting between three figures of Latin-American culture, director "Pino" Solanas, a true habitué of the red carpet at Cannes, painter Luis "Yuyo" Felipe Noé, and playwright Eduardo "Tato" Pavlovsky, leads to captivating discussions on the way in which the creative process takes shape. Differences, similarities, and conflicts between their respective working methods are revealed, all in front of the entertained cameras of their sons, directors Gaspar Noé and Juan Solanas.

On the film's poster, a part of the title is crossed out, with "Creative Act" preferred over "Creative Chaos". In the background, scratched-out and erased text is seen mixed with doodles: the lexical symbols of chaos. Disorder is a saving grace for Fernando Solanas, a necessary result of the drive and determination to create, of always being in motion. Contrived as the sum of three distinct artistic experiences, the documentary showcases the thought processes, discussions, and creativity of three Argentinian legends in the twilight of their careers.
