Jury Prize - Short Film (Ex-aequo) 1981

It is the story of a young girl who was living alone and happy in an attic with her rats. One day, in order to feed them, she goes as usual to steal the pieces of bread, the grains of wheat thrown by the old women to the pigeons in the gardens, she meets Johan. She loves him? He wishes to marry her? He obliges her under splitting point to come to live with him.
He says: “Married and under different roves, never!”
Not wishing to loose him she accepts. As soon as transplanted into her lover’s apartment she seeks refuge under the bed…
The film is treated as a realistic fantastic tale in a style which parodies the German tales of the XIXth century.
