Directed by : Daphné BAIWIR

Year of production : 2021 Country : FRANCE Length : 56 minutes

Synopsis

Of British origin, born in Japan, having grown up and built a career in the United States before spending the rest of her life in France, Olivia de Havilland is the most international stars of Hollywood. She is also the one who has challenged Hollywood and the studios with her successful trial against Jack Warner, when she was barely 26 years old. Thus, she allowed all the suspended actors, while fighting during World War II, to re-negotiate their contracts, thanks to de Havilland's law. She has won two Oscars for Best Actress before becoming, in 1965, the first female Jury president at Cannes.
