    ANOTHER ROUND by Thomas Vinterberg: The winner of the Art House Cinema Award 2020!

    From 25 to 27 August, the national Art House Cinema screenings organised by the Association Française des Cinémas Art et Essai (AFCAE) hosted the Festival de Cannes and Thierry Frémaux in La Rochelle.

    Over the three days at La Coursive cinema, twelve films, primarily from the Official Selection 2020, were premiered to an audience of professionals alongside the films’ directors and distributors:

    AU CRÉPUSCULE / IN THE DUSK by Sharunas Bartas

    DES HOMMES / HOME FRONT by Lucas Belvaux

    DRUNK / ANOTHER ROUND by Thomas Vinterberg

    GAGARINE by Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh

    IBRAHIM by Samir Guesmi

    JOSEP by Aurel

    LA NUÉE / THE SWARM by Just Philippot (Semaine de la Critique)

    PASSION SIMPLE / SIMPLE PASSION by Danielle Arbid

    SI LE VENT TOMBE / SHOULD THE WIND FALL by Nora Martirosyan

    SLALOM by Charlène Favier

    UN TRIOMPHE / THE BIG HIT by Emmanuel Courcol

     

    Following these screenings, the Art House Cinema Award 2020 was awarded to ANOTHER ROUND by Thomas Vinterberg, which is distributed by Haut et Court and due for release in cinemas 14 October 2020.

     

    A special mention was also given to GAGARINE by Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh, which is distributed by Haut et Court and due for release in cinemas 18 November 2020.

    The national Art House Cinema screenings, which brought together 600 participants over 3 days, were organised by the AFCAE with the support of the CNC and in partnership with the Festival de Cannes.
