” All that Jazz ” is basically the story of director/choreographer Joe Gideon. It covers the last months of his rather self-destructive life. It attempts to deal with his feelings (frequently contradictory toward his work, family, love, women and death). These are dealt with through realistic seetings – thoughts- remembrances and fantasies. As much as possible I’ve tried to use music, song and dance, to help reveal Gideon. The background is show business (both theatre and film because it is an area where I am most comfortable.
