Cuba

Born on the 2nd of May, 1959 in Havana (Cuba). With a background in Philology, she worked for many years with the Cuban delegation to UNESCO in Paris. In 1987 she returns to Cuba and works as a critic, writing about the pictoric movement of the 1980's. She returns to writing screenplays and works as Assistant Editor for the Cuban Cinema magazine at the Art and Industrial Institute of Cinematography. From a young age she shows an interest in poetry, and, after self-exile to Paris in 1995 she is the editor of Ars Magazine (New York, Paris, Miami) for two years. Four collections of her poetry have been published including six novels of which the most popular in France are Le Néant Quotidien an La Douleur du Dollar.
