
Synopsis
To herald in the second century of cinema, the Festival wanted to turn from the formal, accepted path towards the school of life. Some, here included, take a historical or geographical view of cinema. We’ve chosen to look at thematically, as we stroll randomly through rediscovered treasures... This time, however, following on from other Festival productions like "Hommage à Hitchcock", "Vivement Truffaut", "Le cinéma dans les yeux" and "Liberté", we’ve changed the rules a little.
This time, no longer a 90 minute montage of images but a simple short sequence which will be shown in the main theatre before each screening, thus two "Preludes" per day. Twenty-four images per second: it’s sometimes said that "a second lasts for all eternity" ; ours, however, will be limited to just four minute
