The 16th ADAMI “Cannes Talents” Event

Julie Carrère

For the sixteenth consecutive year, the Festival de Cannes welcomes the Cannes Talents program organized by ADAMI, the agency which adminsters and protects the rights of actors and musicians. For the first time, auditions were open to all professional actors, regardless of age. Twelve actors, selected from 1,700 applicants, have devoted themselves to this year’s presentation: Gil Alma, Johanna Bah, Dominik Bernard, Cécile Bouillot, Emilie Chesnais, Tewfik Jallab, Marie Kremer, Fabienne Lucchetti, Déborah Marique, Grégory Montel, Amandine Pudlo, and Antoine Régent. They all appear in a single 26-minute film, Bientôt j’arrête (“I’m Quitting Soon”), directed by Léa Fazer. Fazer’s comedy Bienvenue en Suisse was selected by Un Certain Regard in 2004.
