Lifetime Achievement Award : Alain Resnais, directof of “Wild Grass”

A special Lifetime Achievement Award for his work and his exceptional contribution to the history of cinema was bestowed by Isabelle Huppert upon Alain Resnais, who made the following remarks:

"I must point out my surprise, emotion, and gratitude towards the Jury and Festival for this unexpected Lifetime Achievement Award. A film cannot be made by a single person. The director needs the support of a friendly crew, and that’s why I want to ask Edouard Baer to tell all the film crew members in the audience to stand up, so people can see who they are."
