“Mr Hulot’s Holiday” at the Cinéma de la Plage
Prelude musical by Gravenhurst
The prelude musical will fill the outdoor theatre cinema de la Plage at 8:30 pm with the sounds of Gravenhurst. Leader Nick Talbot and his pop-rock are known under the label Warp records and can be heard on the soundtrack of the drama This is England (Warp Films) by Shane Meadows.
At 9:30 pm, a restored copy of Jacques Tati’s film Mr Hulot’s Holiday will grace the screen in black and white for the enjoyment of the beach audience and a stroll down memory lane to 1953. The film also screened last Saturday in the framework of Cannes Classics.
