Ziggy Stardust rocks Cinéma de la Plage
David Bowie and D.A. Pennebaker immortalize Ziggy Stardust on film
Tonight at 8:30 pm, the Danish electronic band Blue Foundation, who released the famed Sweep of Days album in 2004, will entertain festivalgoers with a free concert. Their music has also been featured on the original soundtracks of Miami Vice and Twilight, as well as in the series The O.C..
Following the concert, stay tuned for a screening of D. A. Pennebaker’s Ziggy Stardust, a film of David Bowie’s last live appearance as his alter ego Ziggy Stardust at the Hammersmith Odeon in London. It’s an opportunity to discover or rediscover classics like Ch-ch-ch-changes, Oh! You Pretty Things, Suffragette City, Rock’N’Roll Suicide, and Ziggy Stardust.
