The 28th session of the Résidence de la Cinéfondation welcomed six directors to the heart of Paris. Since last February, they have been working on their first or second feature film and were helped through the screenwriting process. After three months of work, they have come to Cannes to continue their projects. We meet these talented newcomers to the world of film.

Absent: Caetano Gotardo and Katarina Stankovic

Caetano Gotardo participated in the filming of Trabalhar Cansa (Hard Labor), selected for Un Certain Regard in 2011. At the Résidence, he developed his creation Todos os mortos, directed in collaboration with Marco Dutra, which portrays the decline of a Sao Paulo family at the beginning of the 20th century.

Katarina is currently working on her first feature film Against The Day, based on real-life events taken from recent Serbian history, where parallel worlds and times collide. She continues to make short films while living between Belgrade and Berlin.
