Pierre Lescure elected President of the Festival de Cannes

The Board of Directors of the Festival de Cannes elected its future President at its 14^th January meeting.

Gilles Jacob confirmed that he would be leaving the presidency on 1 July 2014, following the 67^th Festival de Cannes.
The election was held via secret vote in accordance with the statutes, and Pierre Lescure was unanimously elected President.
He will take up his responsibilities on 1^st July.

The Board of Directors of the Festival de Cannes also appointed Gilles Jacob Honorary President of the Festival.
