CINÉFONDATION SELECTION 2 & 3 / 4 – Meet the film talent of tomorrow

Every year, the best productions from film schools worldwide are shown at Cannes. Since 1998, the Cinéfondation has been unearthing talent from around the world, and presents their short and feature films as part of the Official Selection. This year, fourteen fictions and four animations are being presented in four groups. Screenings continue today with two programmes:

Programme 2: Ri Guang Zhi Xia (Under the Sun) by Qiu Yang, Asara Rehovot Mea Etsim (Ten Buildings Away) by Miki Polonski, Leonardo by Félix Hazeaux, Thomas Nitsche, Edward Noonan, Franck Pina and Raphaëlle Plantier, Abwesend (Absent) by Eliza Petkova, and Locas Perdidas (Lost Queens) by Ignacio Juricic Merillán.

Programme 3: El Ser Magnético (The Magnetic Nature) by Mateo Bendesky, Koshtargah (Slaughterhouse) by Behzad Azadi, Tsunami by Sofie Kampmark and 14 Steps by Maksim Shavkin.

The Cinéfondation and Short Films Jury, chaired by Abderrahmane Sissako, will award prizes to the three best films at an official ceremony on Friday 22 May.
