CINÉFONDATION SELECTION – Meet the film talent of tomorrow
Every year, Cannes devotes time to the best films to come out of film schools. Since 1998, the Cinéfondation has been tracking down talented student film-makers from all over the world and presenting their short and medium-length films as part of the Official Selection. This year, fourteen narrative films and four animations will be shown in four separate sessions. The screenings start today with Anfibio (Amphibian) by Héctor Silva Núñez, Ainahan ne Palaa (To Return Until) by Salla Sorri, Manoman by Simon Cartwright, Share by Pippa Bianco and The Return of Erkin by Maria Guskova. Quickfire joint interviews.
The Cinéfondation and Short Films Jury, presided over by Abderrahmane Sissako, will award three prizes for the best films at an official ceremony to be held on Friday 22 May.
