For the past four years, “Behind the Lens” has provided the public with a more personal and diverse view of the event, as captured through the eyes and signature styles of the photographers in attendance at Cannes. A daily rendez-vous in 2016.
After seven years spent travelling the globe, capturing the exploits of the world's greatest surfers & windsurfers, Ugo Richard decided to focus his work on portraiture, then fashion.
Today he combines the two, taking pictures of his subjects in their natural state, giving free rein to their expressions.
This year Ugo is coming to Cannes to shoot the covers for Gala Croisette magazine, adding to the portfolio of French magazine Gala. It's his first time at Cannes, and his travels and unusual career are bound to bring a fresh perspective to the event.
Born in 1977 in the south of France, Ugo grew up between the South and Lyon, and currently lives in Paris.
