Adbellatif Kechiche outlined the origins of Mektoub, My Love: Intermezzo, his new film presented in Competition, accompanied by members of the cast. It follows La Vie d’Adèle (Blue is the Warmest Colour), which won the Palme d'or in 2013. In this immersive, sensual feature film, the filmmaker captures a smouldering night in a club among a group of friends gathered one summer in their hometown in the South of France.
