The Cinéfondation Selection: Programme 2
Seventeen medium-length and short films, chosen from among more than 2,000 entries by film school students, are being shown at the 2019 Festival de Cannes Cinéfondation. Georges Goldenstern (Director of the Cinéfondation) and Dimitra Karya (Director of the Selection) answered four questions about the Cinéfondation, to present the four lines-up of this year as well as the aim of the initiative for young filmmakers.

FAVORITEN by Martin MONK

REONGHEE (ALIEN) by Yeon JEGWANG

Reonghee and I are illegal aliens. Yesterday, Reonghee died while running away from the Immigrant Office Agents. The company we worked for is only concerned about covering up the mess. I'm going to find Reonghee, whose body the company has hidden somewhere, and give her a funeral that she deserves.

Every day more and more people are falling into the debt trap, but Karel is on the other side of the barricade – it’s his job to collect their debts.

Abby and Luca are circus acrobats, travelling from town to town to perform their duet. Their love relationship is falling apart. As they are driving in their small camping-car to the next theater, they have to confront their problems to regain trust in each other.
