Opening of the exhibition Regards célestes
Opening of the exhibition Regards célestes on May 20 at 11:30 a.m. at the Maison France Télévisions, in the presence of Ukrainian filmmaker and war correspondent Mstyslav Chernov, as part of the 79th edition of the Festival de Cannes.
The exhibition pays tribute to the photographers and documentary filmmakers who have been killed or wounded as a result of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. It features works by Ukrainian photojournalist Max Levin, Ukrainian photographer George Ivanchenko, and French photojournalist Antoni Lallican, who was killed in October 2025 in a Russian drone attack.
During the opening, a Ukrainian state honor, the Order of Merit, awarded posthumously by decision of the President of Ukraine, will be presented to Antoni Lallican’s family.
The project was initiated by the Embassy of Ukraine in France, in partnership with the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers and the Ukrainian Institute in France.
