Shown as a world premiere on the Croisette last spring, the 2025 Official Selection films have since traveled a long way beyond the Red Carpet. These works have connected with the world all year long, through international Festivals, theatre releases, and during talks with audiences and professionals. On the cusp of the 2026 edition, the Festival de Cannes pays tribute to the filmmakers’ international journey, whose films reminded us, anywhere they were shown, of the importance of cinema.

With more than 1,545 nominations and almost 476 awards* worldwide, the films from the Official Selection have once again proven this year their international cachet. Among these, four films honored by the jury of the 78th edition of the Festival de Cannes last May, proved to be favorites, claiming the top spots in international nominations and award lists.
