Ben HACKWORTH

Ben Hackworth studied at Amherst College (USA) before returning to Australian to complete a Masters of Film at Victorian College of the Arts. His graduating film "Martin Four" screened in Official Selection at Cannes Film Festival Cinefondation in 2001. His other short films ("Half sister", "Murder Landscapes" and "Violet Lives Upstairs") have screened at many prestigious international film festivals (Edinburgh, Montreal, Sao Paulo, Palm Springs, Mill Valley etc). "Violet Lives Upstairs" also won the Australian film critics circle award for best short fiction in 2003. His debut feature film "Corroboree" had its international premiere at Toronto International Film Festival in 2007 and recently screened in selection at Berlinale 2008 in the Forum Category.
