As part of the “Cannes 2020 Special: the Festival returns to the Croisette!” event, the Festival de Cannes and the City of Cannes are running three days of screenings and events at the Cannes Palais des Festivals’ Grand Théâtre Lumière from 27 to 29 October.

From 27 to 29 October, the Croisette is hosting part of the Festival de Cannes 2020's Official Selection. The line-up puts the emphasis on the energy of up-and-coming directors, giving Cannes audiences the opportunity to enjoy:
► screenings of short films that were in Competition in 2020;
► screenings of the Sélection Cinéfondation 2020 film school films;
► the Short Film Palme d'or and Cinéfondation Prize award ceremonies in the presence of members of the short film and Cinéfondation Jury;
► screenings of four previews of 2020 Official Selection films:
– UN TRIOMPHE (THE BIG HIT) by Emmanuel Courcol starring Kad Merad, in the presence of the film crew;
– DASATSKI (BEGINNING) by Dea Kulumbegashvili, in the presence of the director herself;
– ASA GA KURU (TRUE MOTHERS) by Naomi Kawase;
– LES DEUX ALFRED (FRENCH TECH) by Bruno Podalydès, in the presence of the director, Sandrine Kiberlain, and the film crew.

Aimed at the general public, "Cannes 2020 Special" requires no pass or accreditation to attend, with tickets available to buy online. Invites are subject to availability.
As a reminder, the event is subject to the sanitary guidelines in force, and cinema capacities have been decreased to align with social distancing measures.
