Christopher Nolan is an award-winning director, writer and producer whose diverse filmography includes some of the most innovative and successful motion pictures of the 21st century. Beginning with his breakout feature Memento, which earned Nolan an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay, his films have captivated critics and audiences alike. His filmography includes the award-winning 2010 thriller Inception, the ground breaking 2014 epic Interstellar and the blockbuster Dark Knight Trilogy, with the central film, The Dark Knight, receiving eight Oscar nominations. Most recently, Nolan earned dual Academy Award nominations, for Best Director and Best Picture, for his experiential tour-de-force Dunkirk, which in July of 2017 received the largest 70mm release in the last quarter century.
