It is with three films, by Etienne Chatilliez, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Cédric Klapisch that Karin Viard started her film career. Her work is also made up of comedies, working under the direction of Philippe Harel (Les Randonneurs), Ccatherine Corsini (La Nouvelle Eve), Marion Vernoux (Reines d'un Jour) and recently with Michel Blanc for Embrassez qui vous voudrez, for which she was awarded her second César in 2003.
Following La Neige Indienne by Xavier Durringer, marking an evolution in her career, she takes on more dramatic roles with Christian Vincent and Michel Spinosa (with whom she works on several occasions) and Christine Pascal (Adultère mode d'emploi), Laurent Tuel (Jeu d'Enfants) and not long ago with Laurent Cantet (L'Emploi du temps).
Her dedication is again rewarded by the Best Actress César in 2000 for her work with Solveig Anspach (Haut Les Coeurs).
She has just finished Tonie Marshall's latest film (France Boutique) and also François Favrat first film (Le Rôle de sa vie).
