Multi-lingual actress working with so many acclaimed international auteurs at such an early stage of her career, Paula Beer made her awarded debut as a teenager in Poll by Chris Kraus (2010). Other credits include The Dark Valley by Andreas Prochaska (2014), Vier Könige by Theresa von Heltz (2015). Her international breakthrought came in 2016 with Frantz by François Ozon, receiving several nominations and winning the Best Performance Award by an Emerging Actress in Venice. She played the female lead in Le Chant du loup by Antonin Baudry, a critical and public success. In 2020, her performance in Undine by Christian Petzold earned her two coveted awards: a Silver Bear at the Berlinale and Best Actress at the European Film Awards. They are reunited this year in Roter Himmel and the movie gets the Silver Bear 2023. Paula Beer will also star in Stella. A Life. by Kilian Riedhof.
