"Cinéma cinémas", A.Andreu, M.Boujut and Cl.Ventura wanted it as closer as possible to their emotions and dreams over the cinema, far away from any kind of promotion. Their field of exploration was the cinema with a movie approach. 20 years later, even if it was not their purpose, they have a splendid collection of great moments that risked to disappear. To avoid this, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, with the enthusiastic support of INA, decided to recreate 12 episods made of the very best and more representative moments of the original shows that Cl.Ventura assembled and edited in the original spirit and shape of Cinéma cinémas.

As film students in Hungary, they shot footage of the Russian invasion of Budapest and subsequently volunteered to smuggle it out of the country. Barely escaping with their lives, they fled to America and settled in Hollywood, eventually saving enough money to buy their own 16mm camera to begin shooting movies.
